It is the third victory for Pumlani Bangani in the Nottingham marathon

Thousands of people have taken part in this year's Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running in Nottingham.

About 8,000 runners tackled the full and half-marathon courses while about 2,000 others took part in a 2.5 mile (4km) fun run.

The event is one of the largest full and half-marathon combined events.

First across the line in the full marathon was Pumlani Bangani of Greater Manchester. He also won in 2005 and 2006.

The course began and ended at the Victoria Embankment and runners ran past many of Nottingham's historic landmarks and local attractions.
