Man's body discovered in vehicle

The body of a man has been found inside a vehicle in Leicestershire.

A member of the public found the man, believed to be a local man in his 20s, on Middlefield Lane in Hinckley on Sunday evening, police said.

The area was cordoned off overnight to allow police to carry out a full forensic examination of the scene.

Leicestershire Police said the investigation was in its very early stages but the death was being treated as suspicious at this time.

House-to-house inquiries will be undertaken and a post-mortem examination will be carried out later.

Officers appealed for anyone who saw a black Audi in the area over the weekend to get in touch.
