Woman injured in stolen car crash

A woman has been seriously injured in a head-on collision involving a stolen car in Nottingham.

Police were following the stolen BMW on Western Boulevard on Sunday afternoon when the collision happened.

The car had failed to stop for officers and was travelling the wrong way down the road when it was in collision with a Daewoo car.

Two men aged 31 and a 28-year-old man have been arrested and are helping police with their inquiries.

The male driver of the Daewoo and his female passenger were taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment and the driver was later released.

The woman remains in hospital, but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
