New-look uniform for train staff

New uniform
Staff say the uniform is comfortable and easy to wear

East Midlands Trains has revealed its new-look staff uniform.

The outfit is the culmination of many months of design work and staff wearing and trialling sample outfits, the company said.

Earlier this month the company also announced a £10m refurbishment of 25 of its Class 158 trains.

The introduction of the uniforms will be complete by 8 September and the company has said it will recycle its old uniforms.

Jake Kelly, of East Midlands Trains, said: "Since the start of our franchise, we have been working directly with our staff to come up with a uniform that looks professional and smart, but that is comfortable and practical, and also reflects our new brand.

"We believe our new uniform ticks all of these boxes and will also help passengers to easily identify our staff at stations and on train."
