Man charged over street stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing outside a bar in Nottingham city centre.

A 42-year-old man was attacked outside the Loft Bar on Mansfield Road in the early hours of Sunday, 20 July.

Paramedics took the victim to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he underwent emergency surgery.

Martin Bent, aged 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with wounding amounting to grievous bodily harm. He was due in court on Wednesday.
