Vandals have been told they are risking their lives by throwing objects at power lines in Nottinghamshire.
Central Networks said 1,200 properties were left without power after an iron bar was found in the overhead cables at Bestwood Country Park on Tuesday.
Officials said similar incidents had happened in the same location on 5 July and 30 June.
Phil Wilson, from Central Networks, said: "The message is simple - power lines can kill, stay away from them."
"High voltage electricity can discharge from the cables when objects come into contact or even come near them.
"That power can travel and could leave someone nearby with serious burns," Mr Wilson said.
He said the firm were working with police to prevent further incidents.
