A new £1.5m veterinary nursing centre and animal unit has been officially opened in Nottinghamshire.
Part of Nottingham Trent University's Brackenhurst campus, the centre was opened by the Earl of Wessex on Wednesday afternoon.
The new unit has state-of-the-art equipment which will be used in teaching veterinary nursing courses.
The East Midlands Development Agency (emda) contributed £950,000 to help build the centre.
Professor Jenny Saint, Dean of the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences, said: "The new unit is a fantastic facility which the university can be very proud of.
"We're looking forward to our students and staff making the most of everything that it has to offer."
