A man has died following a stabbing attack in Nottingham.

A police spokesman said a murder inquiry had begun following the incident on Aston Drive in Caldon Green, Bulwell, on Wednesday afternoon.

A man, 25, was found with stab wounds and taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where he died from his injuries.

Officers said he appeared to be having an argument with another man before the incident. No-one has been arrested in connection with the attack.

Police said it was an isolated incident but patrols have been stepped up in the area.

An incident room has been set-up at Radford Road Police Station and officers are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
