Road open again after lorry crash

A major road is open again following an accident involving an HGV lorry, a transit van and two cars.

The accident happened near to the Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station on the A453 which leads to junctions 24 and 24a of the M1 on Thursday evening.

The road was closed in both directions and for four hours traffic was diverted through Gotham.

Fire and rescue officers confirmed that no-one needed hospital treatment following the incident.
