Man is stabbed in street robbery

A 20-year-old man has been stabbed and his wallet stolen in an attack on a Nottingham street.

The victim was walking along Mansfield Road in the early hours of Wednesday when he was grabbed from behind, put in a headlock and kneed in the face.

The victim managed to walk home unaided but then realised he had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The thieves stole his wallet, which contained money and bankcards, before running off towards the city centre.

One offender is described as white, and was wearing a grey top. The second suspect was wearing a hooded top.
