Retail park cash machine stolen

A cash machine has been stolen from a Nottinghamshire shopping complex.

Thieves drove a flat-bed lorry through security gates at the Chilwell Retail Park in the early hours of the morning.

Once inside the retail park the gang removed the stand-alone machine which was next to a McDonalds and loaded it on to the lorry.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on the hard shoulder of the M1 southbound near Cosby in Leicester. Police are appealing for witnesses.
