Hooligans given life match bans
A group of football hooligans have been given banning orders which stops them entering grounds in Nottinghamshire.

It comes after police intelligence officers passed evidence on to Nottingham Forest and Notts County.

Nottingham Forest has banned three people for life and 18 others for various lengths. Notts County has banned two for life and four others.

Each fan is banned from home matches and also from away matches at the other club grounds in the county.

It is part of a scheme which aims to make football grounds a safe and enjoyable environment.

Police said it sent out a clear message that violence and anti-social behaviour would not be tolerated.
