Asperger's support service opens
A countywide support service for people with Asperger's Syndrome is starting up in Nottinghamshire.

The service will be based in Mansfield but will offer support and counselling to adults with the condition throughout the county.

Asperger's Syndrome is a form of autism that affects how a person makes sense of the world. It can also cause problems with social skills.

The condition is thought to affect 2,200 adults in Nottinghamshire.

The specialist team will be composed of social care staff who will assist carers of people with the condition as well.
