Injured man found dead on street

The man was discovered by a member of the public

A man has been found dead on a street in Nottingham.

The man, who is thought to be aged 40 to 50, was discovered lying on Stansfield Street in Radford by a passer-by at about 0145 GMT.

Paramedics were called out but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is thought he had suffered head injuries.

Police have sealed off Stansfield Street and nearby Cobden Street. A post mortem examination was due to take place in Leicester on Sunday evening.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
