Man who died after assault named
A man who died following an argument outside a shop in Nottingham has been named by police.

Thomas Blackwell, a 42-year-old grandfather, was assaulted outside Deepak Stores on Barn Croft in Chilwell at about 1145 GMT on Friday.

He had been arguing with a group of people who were in a white stretch limousine before he collapsed.

Mr Blackwell was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but later died. Tests revealed he died from a head injury.

Police have urged any witnesses to contact them.

Supt Mike Manley said: "Incidents like this are rare in Chilwell and it has shocked the local community. We are determined to catch those responsible."
