Marketing merger means job losses
Experian
Experian's marketing businesses will merge into a single operation
Global information solutions company Experian is to shed 100 jobs because of a merger of its marketing businesses.

The jobs losses will be spread across offices in Nottingham, London, Bristol and Luton.

The company is to consult staff about their future and has not ruled out compulsory redundancies.

A spokesman said the company had acted because it had four separate businesses which were offering a similar service to the same customers.

Experian's Nottingham and London marketing data and processing business will merge with ClarityBlue, its marketing database business based in Luton and Bristol, to create a single business - Experian Integrated Marketing.

Its managing director Duncan Painter said: "Clearly, in a worst-case scenario, we may find some people leaving the business.

"Realistically we're not going to be in a position where we will know the outcome of the consultation until mid-summer."
