Nottingham's revamped Old Market Square is to be officially opened by Princess Anne, it has been announced.
The Princess Royal will unveil a plaque to commemorate the £7m redevelopment of the Square on 3 April.
The revamp has seen the Square levelled out with granite paving slabs and seating areas and flowerbeds added.
The city council is holding two weekends of celebrations in March, including a live music concert, to mark the opening of the redesigned Square.
The new Square's first slab was laid by New Zealand singer Hayley Westenra in April 2006.
