Delivery man beaten unconscious
A takeaway delivery driver was punched unconscious by attackers who it is thought were trying to steal his car.

The 26-year-old was dragged into the road by two men after parking his dark-coloured Fiat Punto on Collison Street in Hyson Green.

They kicked and punched him, then one held him by the throat while the other punched him in the face.

Despite needing medical treatment, he drove back to the takeaway in Sherwood after regaining consciousness.

The attackers are both described as black, wearing sports clothing.

Police said the offenders' motive was unclear but as they tried to grab the car keys, they were probably trying to steal the vehicle.
