Passenger admits kicking driver
A father of two from Nottingham has been warned he could face jail after attacking a tram driver.

Thomas Gaunt, 40, kicked and punched the member of staff in January this year while he was drunk.

Mansfield Magistrates Court heard Gaunt, from Aspley, was pushed off a stationary tram after he got into an argument with another passenger.

He then kicked the tram driver in the groin and punched him in the nose after another scuffle took place.

Nottinghamshire Police later picked him up walking down the road.

Gaunt pleaded guilty to assault and will l be sentenced later this month.
