More than 130 drivers in an area of Nottingham have been caught breaking the law in a clampdown by police.
Members of the police, community support officers, specials and the DVLA took part in the crackdown to make roads safer in Daybrook on Saturday.
Nottinghamshire Police are aiming to rid the roads of dangerous cars and illegal drivers in the county.
More than 6,000 vehicles were checked in a five-hour operation and 60 were found without road tax.
A further 60 drivers were given a fine and penalty points for speeding after being caught by the Speed Camera Safety Partnership Team.
Prohibition notices deeming vehicles unsafe to drive were also issued to 11 drivers.
Special Inspector Kev Davison who oversaw the operation said: "The aim of this action was to conduct a high visibility operation to both reassure the public and cut road casualties by targeting illegal drivers and vehicles."
