Solicitor in court on drug charge

A solicitor accused of attempting to smuggle drugs to a client in a custody suite has appeared in court.

It is alleged Daniela Scotece, 31, hid cannabis on her body as she went to meet Emmanuel Samuels at Nottingham Magistrates' Court in August.

Ms Scotece, of Sheridan Way, Nottingham appeared with the man before Derby magistrates on Friday to answer a charge of possession of cannabis.

The case was adjourned to Derby Crown Court on 19 January.
