Couple threatened with stun gun

A man used a stun gun to rob two university students in Nottingham, police have confirmed.

Officers said the couple were threatened with the device on Cottesmore Road, Lenton, as they walked home in the early hours of Saturday.

The offender stole cash and a mobile phone from the 20-year-old woman. He activated the stun gun device but did not use it on the victims.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Pc Gary Dodd, said: "This was a frightening ordeal for both victims.

"The young woman is very traumatised and is now fearful about going out on her own or walking anywhere.

"It's vital we find this man before he strikes again."
