Free parking spell ends in city
Motorists will have to pay for parking again in one part of Nottingham after a technical error was corrected.

Markings around bays at Wellington Circus just outside the Nottingham Playhouse did not comply with Department for Transport guidance.

This meant the city council could not enforce parking restrictions.

The authority has now had new markings painted after the anomaly was discovered earlier this month. This means payments will now resume.

The lines were previously dotted instead of solid, but the council has since repainted them in the proper fashion.
