Man attacked by gang at station
British Transport Police are looking for a gang who carried out a savage attack on a man waiting for a train.

The men were filmed running across the tracks at Mansfield railway station and grabbing a man who was kicked and beaten against a fence.

Police said the attack was unprovoked, and a number of other people were also challenged by the men.

The attack happened after England's World Cup match against Trinidad and Tobago on 15 June.

Cracked rib

The victim, Tom Bradley, 23, is still off work with a cracked rib.

"I don't like to go out now unless I am with my mates - I don't want to have it happen again," he said.

The group - of at least four men - ran off across the tracks just as a train was approaching from Worksop.

The offenders are described aged between 15 and early 20s.

British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.

An 18-year-old man from Mansfield has been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and released on bail.
