Man charged after murder inquiry
A Nottinghamshire man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body at a house in Cotgrave.

Terence Smith, 55 and from Lawrence Close in Cotgrave, is accused of murdering 52-year-old Eric Christie.

The body of Mr Christie, who also lived on Lawrence Close, was found at a house there on Monday night, Nottinghamshire police said.

A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Christie died from head injuries, Nottinghamshire police said.

Mr Smith is expected to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, police said.

They are appealing for anyone with details of Mr Christie's next of kin to come forward.
