A murder inquiry is underway after the body of a man was found at a Nottinghamshire house.
Officers discovered the body of Eric Christie, 52, at a house on Lawrence Close in Cotgrave on Monday night.
A 55-year-old man from Cotgrave was arrested on Tuesday and is still being questioned by police.
Detectives have appealed to anyone who saw Mr Christie between Saturday and Monday, or saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
Final movements
Det Insp Dave Hoare, who is leading the investigation, said: "Mr Christie was last seen alive in Cotgrave shortly before 7pm on Saturday.
"It is therefore vital that we gather as much information as possible about his movements between Saturday evening and Monday night, when his body was discovered."
Police said Mr Christie was a longstanding resident of Cotgrave and had always lived alone.
Officers have so far been unable to trace any relatives of the victim and appealed for anyone with details of his next of kin to come forward.
