A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of policewoman Rachael Bown in Nottingham.

Pc Bown, 23, was shot in the stomach when responding to a burglary at a student house just before midnight on 13 February.
She has undergone two operations since she was shot and is described as stable at the Queen's Medical Centre.
Trevon Thomas, 24, of Melford Road, Bilborough, was remanded in custody and will appear at crown court on 26 May.
No application was made for bail at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.
He also faces a charge of possessing a firearm.
A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police said Pc Bown wa making a good recovery from her second operation.
