A second 16-year-old youth has been charged in connection with the death of a man in a suspected racist attack.

Kamal Raza Butt, 48, was found dead in Hope Close, The Meadows, Nottingham, on Sunday afternoon.

The teenager, from the Meadows area of city, was charged with manslaughter by police on Wednesday. He will appear before magistrates on Thursday.

Another 16-year-old male appeared in court on Wednesday charged with manslaughter and was bailed.

A total of nine people have been arrested in connection with Mr Butt's death, which Nottinghamshire police believe could be the result of a racially motivated assault.

Six juveniles and one adult have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Mr Butt had been staying with friends in the city for a few weeks and lived in Pakistan.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but was declared dead on arrival.
