One of Nottinghamshire's last remaining monuments to its coal mining history has been awarded nearly £1m to bring it back to life.
Bestwood Winding Engine House in Bestwood Country Park will receive a grant of £963,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
There will also be new education facilities and a park ranger's office.
Chris Baron from Nottinghamshire County Council, said: "The project will do a lot for local pride."
