A young would-be politician is leading the fight against bullying at a Nottinghamshire college.
Stefan Prest, 16, a member of the UK Youth Parliament, has been involved in a mentoring initiative at Dukeries College in Ollerton.
The scheme encourages students to speak to their peers on a one-to-one basis about problems they have encountered with bullying.
Stefan said: "They prefer speaking to students rather than teachers."
He added: "Most students feel comfortable speaking to people their own age and slightly older.
"Since the scheme has been introduced into the college I think personally the level of bullying is going down and cases that have happened have been solved fairly quickly."
