Anti-fraud scan for tram tickets
Tram
Commuters' season tickets will be more closely scrutinised
New technology is being used on Nottingham's trams to make sure that more people pay their fares.

The approach will clamp down on fraud and aims to catch those whose cards are not up to date.

Up until now, smart cards like the Easy Rider and concession cards were taken on trust.

But staff are now scanning them to catch up on the fare dodgers. Those travelling with an invalid card will be asked to pay the normal fare.
