Goose Fair ban for single fares
Single fares on Nottingham's trams are to be scrapped for the Goose Fair.

Passengers will have to buy an adult day ticket at a price of £2.20 from 6 October, for four days.

Nottingham Express Transit (NET), which runs the trams, said the move was to ensure all travellers pay their way and do not dodge fares.

The firm estimates 5% of passengers do not buy tickets, and it wants to ensure every one of the thousands of passengers expected stumps up the cash.

A day ticket when booked in advance from the city centre sales centre is reduced by 20p to £2.

The Forest park and ride site will be closed from 1 October to 12 October - reopening when the fair has left.
