Diamond robber photofit released
robbery suspect
The man threatened the couple with a knife
Police have released a photofit of a suspect following an armed robbery at a house in Nottinghamshire.

A man threatened a couple at their home in Toton on the evening of 13 January and escaped with a substantial amount of cash and diamond jewellery.

The man held a knife to the woman and demanded valuables after knocking on the door.

The offender is described as a clean-shaven black male in his mid-20s, 6ft 2in tall with a slim build.

He spoke with an East Midlands accent and was wearing a black fleece hat, black fleece jacket, black jeans and dark shoes.

He was also carrying a dark blue holdall and may have smelt of turpentine or thinners.

It is believed the offender escaped in a dark Ford Focus without its lights on.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
