Diamond robber threatens couple

Police are hunting an armed robber who stole diamonds, jewellery and cash from a Nottinghamshire couple.

The woman answered the door of the house in Toton on Thursday evening and the robber then burst in and threatened her with a knife.

He demanded valuables and later escaped in a dark Ford Focus.

He is described as a clean-shaven, black male in his late 20s, 6ft 2ins tall with a slim build, wearing a black hat and a fleece jacket.

Nottinghamshire police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
