The final part of a major new road in Notts that is expected to create up to 10,000 jobs opened on Tuesday.
The £30m Mansfield and Ashfield Regeneration Route (MARR) bypasses Mansfield to the south and links up with the Rainworth bypass.
The county council scheme is Nottinghamshire's largest-ever regeneration project.
Council leaders said it would ease congestion on the M1 and open up new areas for commercial development.
