A bus driver has been robbed at gunpoint on a remote rural route in Nottinghamshire.
A masked man forced the number 77 service between Chesterfield and Worksop off the road before escaping with the cash in Hodthorpe.
The driver thought his vehicle was empty but then a man demanded money.
He produced what appeared to be a gun and made the driver veer off into a remote car park where he escaped with the day's takings.
A police armed response car was called to the scene.
The driver of the Stagecoach service was unhurt.
Managers at the firm described it as "an extremely rare" crime.
