Police are increasing high profile patrols in response to three separate firearms incidents in Nottingham in less than 24 hours.
On Sunday night, a 21 year-old woman was shot outside her home in Bestwood and just hours later shots were fired in Oldknow Street, Radford.
On Monday a firearm was let off outside the Nottingham Arms pub in Radford.
Police say they are determined to stem the problem and have recently seized two guns.
Stop and search
The woman was shot as she held her 13-month-old son in her home on Andover Road.
Her injuries were not serious and her baby was unharmed.
In the Oldknow Street incident, a man fired shots before getting into a car which another man drove towards the city centre.
Foot and car patrols of officers with more powers to stop and search are now being deployed in Radford, Bestwood and Hyson Green.
