The new school will be built next to the old one

A Victorian school with links to author D H Lawrence has been saved from demolition.
Gilthill Primary in Kimberley, Notts, which is more than 100 years old, was one of two main schools in the community where D H Lawrence grew up.
In 2003, education officials announced plans to demolish the primary school and replace it with a modern one.
But a campaign by local residents has convinced Nottinghamshire County Council to preserve the school.
Lawrence, who was born in Eastwood, attended another school nearby.
The new school will be build on an adjacent lot.
