Fears over younger British Hindus losing their identity will be addressed at a conference in Nottingham.
People from around the UK will attend the event being held by the KalaNiketan Hindi School at the Hindu Temple and Community centre on Carlton Road.
It is hoped such high profile gatherings could result in national examining boards introducing Hindi exams at GSCE level.
Organisers say it is vital to assess the problems facing Hindu culture.
Rajesh Sharma, who helped set up the conference, said: "In the younger generation there seems to be a lack of identity both in terms of the culture and the cultural things the family do.
"Also, Hindi is not being taught in the national curriculum in the schools, while other languages like Punjabi are being taught."
