Girl died of head injury at park

Wonderland was closed on Monday as a mark of respect
A seven-year-old girl who died at a Nottinghamshire theme park suffered a fatal head injury, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Megan Wilcox from Linfield Road, Broxtowe, Nottingham, was at the Wonderland Pleasure Park in Farnsfield on Sunday.

She fell on tarmac near the Astroslide suffering head injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital but later died.

The coroner said she did not suffer any broken bones.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Wonderland Pleasure Park was closed on Monday as a mark of respect to the family.
