Stately home halts wind farm plan

Plans for an eight-turbine wind farm in Northamptonshire have been halted because of a stately home.

Your Energy Ltd applied to Daventry District Council to put up eight turbines on land in Yelvertoft, near Northampton.

Councillors rejected the plans on Wednesday night because they said it would impact on the setting of the historic Stanford Hall.

Your Energy said it would be appealing against the decision.
