Masked men rob cigarette lorry

Masked men stole thousands of cigarettes from a lorry driver as he made a delivery in Northamptonshire.

Two men wearing black clothing approached him at the Londis store in Park Square, Kings Heath, Northampton, in the early hours of Thursday.

They took 89 boxes, believed to contain about 18,000 cigarettes.

Northamptonshire Police said they had driven off in a grey Audi 80 which was later found in the car park of Paget House, a block of flats in Kings Heath.

Both men are described as about 5ft 10in (1.77m) tall.

One was of stocky build and the other slightly thinner, police said.
