Man robbed at knifepoint in town

A man has been robbed at knifepoint by two men who forced the victim into a car park in Northamptonshire.

The robbery happened on Tuesday evening near the General Store in Arkwright Road, Irchester.

The victim was walking to the shop when two men armed with a knife forced him into a car park at the rear of the store.

The pair took his money and mobile phone before running off, said a Northamptonshire Police spokesman.

The first offender is described as black, 21-25 years old, 5ft 10in tall and of small build.

The second is described as black, 6ft tall and of small build.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, have been asked to call Northamptonshire Police.
