Woman attacked by two men in town

A 42-year-old woman was attacked by two men in an alleyway in Northampton.

The woman was walking in the lane near Hellidon Close on Friday night when the two offenders sprayed an unknown substance at her face.

During the attack the woman was also pushed against the wall. The injuries sustained by the woman were not serious, said police.

In a separate incident, the woman's car was also broken into. It is not known whether both incidents are related.

Officers are keen to speak with two men who were walking a dog and were in the area at the time and may have witnessed the attack.

One offender is described as white, 18 to 22 years of age, about 5ft 9in (1.75m) tall and with a slim build.

The second offender is described as white male, 18 to 22 years of age, approximately 5ft 9in (1.75m) tall and with a broad build.
