Ross Brawn bought the team from Honda before the first Grand Prix race

A parade celebrating the success of a Northamptonshire-based Formula 1 team has taken place. Brawn GP, based in Brackley, took the the drivers' and constructors' titles when Jenson Button finished fifth at the Brazilian Grand Prix in October. The event saw Brawn GP employees travel through the town on open-top buses and culminate in a civic ceremony in the market square. Brawn GP was formed when Ross Brawn bought the team from Honda. The former Ferrari technical director said: "To win both the constructors' and drivers' world championships after all the difficult times that we went through over the winter is a testament to the team's commitment and talent. "With the Formula One season now having reached its conclusion, we are delighted to be able to return to Brackley and celebrate with the people of Northamptonshire." Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd, the mayor of Brackley and the local councils were co-ordinating the event.
