Window shattered by thrown object

A lorry driver was left shocked when the windscreen of his cab was shattered by an object thrown from a bridge over the M1 in Northamptonshire.

The HGV driver was travelling southbound between junctions 16 and 17 when he saw youths on a bridge.

As he drove beneath the bridge one of the group dropped an item on to the vehicle, shattering the windscreen.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact officers.
