Strike threat staff secure bonus

Steel workers in Northamptonshire who were considering strike action over unpaid bonuses will now receive their money, their union has said.

Corby Corus workers were told bonuses could not be paid for the first quarter of the financial year because of ongoing negotiations with unions.

The Community Union was considering strike action but said now Corus has told workers all bonuses would be paid.

The union said it was "comforting" to workers as Christmas approached.
