The opening ceremony of an Olympic-sized swimming pool in Northamptonshire is taking place on 24 July.

Work on the £18m, 50m Corby East Midlands International Pool began in 2007. The site includes a fitness centre and leisure facilities.

The pool has been built on a car park behind the Willows Arts Centre.

The pool is part of the town's flagship Parkland Gateway regeneration project on the edge of the town centre next to ancient woodland and meadow.
