Security guards hit with hammers

Two guards have been attacked with hammers in a raid on a security van outside a bank in Northamptonshire.

It is not known how much their attackers got away with when they struck outside the Abbey Bank in Kettering shortly after 1900 BST.

The attack took place on High Street in the town. The guards are being treated in hospital, police said.
