Fire engulfs large former factory

A large disused factory in Northamptonshire has been seriously damaged by fire.

Forty firefighters from across the county were called to the burning building in Pioneer Avenue, Burton Latimer, at 2140 BST on Saturday.

The road was closed and the fire brought under control by 2355 BST.

Northamptonshire Police said no one was injured. The fire is being treated as suspicious and they are appealing for information.

The building was formerly used by IM Kelly to manufacture trims for the motor trade.
